Eventually, they just stop doing anything with firmware after a year or two, so it depends on how old it is and if it truly does have all available updates.
INTEL WIDI WINDOWS 10 SAMSUNG LED 55 NOT SISIBLE UPDATE
I know you said you couldn't find a firmware download, but have you plugged the TV in to a network cable and had it check the servers itself to see if an update is available? I have a 5 or 6 year old Samsung TV, and several times when I checked manually for firmware updates, there wasn't anything listed, but when I connected it and checked online, it updated to a new one at least a couple of times after I got it. If previously mentioned settings and things to check just don't seem to help at all, can you try it with only an HDMI to HDMI cable? I made an assumption when I read your initial post:Ĭhanged all the cables (from hdmi to displayport with dvi to hdmi converter between and from hdmi to diplayport)What I assumed was there was one HDMI to HDMI cable and you tried replacing the cables with "different ones", but when I re-read that I had the realization that the normal cable configuration MAY actually include all of those converters. Try some other options, or set the resolution manually: 1920x1080 (1080) or 1280x720 (720).Īs M.Engel said, sometimes you'll have to change the settings on the TV, but sometimes someone already did that and it's no longer needed now.ĭid anyone previously go directly into the settings on the TV and manually changed any of the configuration to make it "fit better" when the computer was first setup and attached with the old OS? Especially when other settings such as overscan/upscaling has been enabled or TV settings have manually been changed. Have you tried another display resolution to see if it exhibits the same issues?Īlso, some video card software has presets for 1080 and 720, which includes not only i or p, the refresh rate which can cause some issues on some TVs, as well as "standard" and "optimized" settings, which change the actual resolution to one the TV may not completely support or doesn't show up 100% correct on the TV. What specific display resolution do you have set?Īre you sure the TV specifically supports the current display resolution/refresh rate you have set? Look for something in the Nvidia software control panel.

Previously, when I had an issue with things just not fitting right on a display, I was usually able to fix it by going into the custom settings of the video driver software settings, and finding/changing overscan/upscaling (or similar) settings. Is it the screen or is it a dipslay setting? Do you guys have know any other solutions that i forgot to check the above? I can't update the firmware off my screen with an USB stick because there are no downloads availble for my screen: LH40EDDPLGC/EN ED40D Checked the Nvidia control panel if i could change something but when I change the resolution for that screen, it doesn't change so it seems that the control panel and the screen doesn't communicate with eachother.

install the latest Nvidia Quadro K600 driver (removed old first and install the newest driver) also without no result Bought new cables and did the same test, without result Changed all the cables (from hdmi to displayport with dvi to hdmi converter between and from hdmi to diplayport) I don't know if the screen or the computer cause the issue, but I did allready the following things WITHOUT RESULT:

We have an issue on a windows 10 machine, after we upgrade to Windows 10 we remarked that the screen resolution is not fit with the Samsung TV screen.
